The Rotary Youth Exchange program provides students 15 to 18 1/2 years old with an opportunity to live in a foreign country with a host family or families and experience the culture of the host country while serving as an ambassador for their home country. Exchange students spend 10 - 12 months living with host families and attending high school.  Rotary's Youth Exchange program is recognized around the world as the gold standard in international exchange opportunities for young adults.

The South Puget Sound Rotary Club has been an active participant in the Rotary Youth Exchange program since the club's formation in 1986.  It is one of club's core activities each year and if you are interested in expanding world peace through understanding and friendship, you have an opportunity to be a part of that in our club. 

Each year our club sponsors one outbound student from our local community and we accept one inbound student that comes to us from one of over 20 different countries around the world.  Due to world conditions the Rotary Youth Exchange program was on hiatus for 3 years but now in 2023 we are once again reviving the program at our club.
